The Hydrogen Council is a global CEO-level initiative to voice a united vision and long-term ambition for hydrogen to foster the energy transition. Our members includes 16 leading energy, transport and industry multinationals (Air Liquide, Alstom, Anglo American, Audi, BMW Group, Daimler, ENGIE, Honda, Hyundai, Iwatani, Kawasaki, Plastic Omnium, Shell, The Linde Group, Total and Toyota).

Launched at the World Economic Forum 2017, in Davos, the growing coalition of CEOs has the ambition to:

• Accelerate their significant investment in the development and commercialization of the hydrogen and fuel cell sectors.

• Encourage key stakeholders increase their backing of hydrogen as part of the future energy mix with appropriate policies and supporting schemes.

Also presented at the Council’s launch, the report ‘How Hydrogen empowers the energy transition’ sets out the Council’s joint vision and provides policy recommendations on how to accelerate the technology’s deployment.
