Ms. Hamberg joined Westport in 2001 and was appointed Vice President, Strategy in 2012 and Vice President, Industry and Government Relations in 2015. Westport Fuel Systems invents, engineers, manufactures and supplies advanced clean-burning fuel systems and components to address the challenges of global climate change and urban air quality. Karen has held different leadership assignments within Westport Fuel Systems, responsible for Corporate Strategy, Market and Competitive Intelligence, Sustainability and Environmental Performance, and Government and Regulatory Affairs.
Ms. Hamberg holds a Master of Arts degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba. An active volunteer, Karen is Chair of the Board of Directors of Calstart in Pasadena, California, a Board Member of the Van Horne Institute at the University of Calgary, and a member of the United Way of the Lower Mainland Campaign Cabinet representing the technology sector. Karen was named to Canada’s Clean 50™ for 2017 for her contributions to advance sustainability and clean capitalism.
